WorldNet to Deliver a Major Fibre Speed Boost from July 2025

New Zealand Local Fibre Companies (LFCs) have announced a significant upgrade to fibre broadband speeds, coming into effect from July 2025. WorldNet customers will automatically benefit from this improvement, with no additional application required.

Under the new changes, the Fibre START plan will see speeds increase from the current 50/10 Mbps to 100/20 Mbps, offering households a smoother experience for streaming, remote work, and online learning.

The Fibre 300 plan will be upgraded from 300/100 Mbps to 500/100 Mbps and will be rebranded as Fibre 500. This enhanced speed tier is designed for heavy internet users who rely on fast uploads, cloud-based workflows, and seamless online gaming.

WorldNet advises customers to ensure their router supports the upgraded speeds in order to take full advantage of the new service. The exact rollout date will be confirmed by the LFCs closer to July.
